If you’re facing an unplanned pregnancy, you’re not alone — about half of all women in the U.S. have an unplanned pregnancy at some point in their lives. People who are pregnant have three options: parenting, having an abortion, or placing their baby for adoption.

Why do people decide to become parents or choose adoption?

Everyone has their own valid reasons for choosing to have and raise a child. It’s normal to have lots of different feelings about whether you’re ready to take on the challenge of parenting. On the same note, everyone also has their own unique and valid reasons for choosing adoption. Some of the many different reasons people decide to place a child for adoption including that they’re not ready to be a parent, they want to be the best parent possible to the kids they already have, or they’re in an abusive relationship or were sexually assaulted.

To the best of our knowledge, all of the mentioned resources and referrals are LGBT+ friendly and support pregnant people in all of their options.
